I was born to Tamil and Bengali parents in Washington Heights, New York City. I then moved to Hawaiʻi where I developed a close bond with nature. I grew up bi-cultural in both Honolulu and New Delhi, straddling time spent between parents, two cities, and dual identities. Now I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where I tackle issues of sea-level rise, public access, and wildlife refuge along the bay shore.
I am a Coastal Planner for the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission in California.
